Testimonials and Highlights from Scholars’ Day 2018

A progressive voice for healthcare was forced to resign this week but 700 voices stood up to take his place. Today at Scholar’s day my hope was reignited for the future of healthcare in America. I saw 700 students that knew the importance of community health actively working to change the perception of healthcare in our communities.

HPAC is an awesome organization determined to help students showcase their knowledge to the community and help them expand that knowledge. Thanks for letting me judge.

Honestly, to hear the students share their projects, confident in their abilities to promote and spread health and success in their communities, was so impactful and is reassurance of how great this program truly is!

I had the opportunity to speak to many of the students at their posters and found them to be so engaged in their work, versed in their research and able to talk about what worked and what they may have changed in the course of implementation.

Scholar’s Day this year demonstrates the transformative power of a compelling vision, a devoted team, and a lot of hard work. This team is changing lives and communities in very meaningful ways.

It was a phenomenal day of learning and listening to future health care providers and researchers. The scope of work, the honed presentation skills and the knowledge these students will carry forward, will certainly serve them well as they embark on educational or professional careers.
