OSRS Cooking is among the abilities that can be taught in both F2P and P2P realms. It lets you prepare foods that you can eat to replenish your Hitpoints . This is achieved by cooking raw foods. Raw food is cooked using a grill or range. The fire can be created by using a Tinderbox to make any type of Log (depending on your Firemaking level) but there is an increased chance of burning the food.
Most often, players learn to master this skill to complete some quests and/or receiving the Cooking cape which allows you to stop cooking food however, you could also utilize this skill to earn money at the high levels, based on the way you go about it. That doesn’t mean Cooking training isn’t costly, but it can be quite costly that you’ll need to pay a significant amount.
Cooking Range and Burning Chance
Cooking on a range has the chance of less burning the food than the normal fire in addition to the fact that certain ranges have a much lower chance of burning than other ranges. Also, some food cannot be cooked on a range, unlike fire. This means that any food that can be cooked over fire can be cooked on a range.
Note that having a high cooking temperature unlocks different kinds of food that can be cooked.
Overall, the burning chance will depend on your cooking level that is to say, the higher the level, the less likely you are to cook the food. Take note that every type of raw food needs an exact cooking temperature in order to cease burning completely. To determine these levels, you can refer to the table below.
For this post, we will discuss the most efficient way to reach Level 99 Cooking by using the best semi-AFK P2P methods for that. We will also provide ways to earn money for those who are interested.
The ingredients listed in this article can be bought directly from the Grand Exchange, but we cannot know exactly the amount you’ll have to pay to complete this guide due to market fluctuation.
Hosidius Kitchen
First , you should be using a range for training your Cooking skill because it’s less likely to burn your food. The ideal cooking range for games is called the Hosidius Range. This is because it even has a lesser chance (5 5%) and may be 10% after finishing an elite diary like the Kourend & Kebos elite Diary) to cause food to be burned as opposed to other ranges. And it is also close to a bank’s chest.
Cooking Gauntlets
These Gauntlets will reduce the likelihood of cooking food that helps you increase your XP levels in a shorter time. The Family Crest Quest is required for these Gauntlets.
Take note it is important to note that using the Hosidius Range which wearing the Cooking Gauntlets will decrease the required level to not burn the food you cook with. Both will not need to be used after you’ve purchased the Cooking Cape.
Cooking Training – Level 1-99

You will need to create a certain amount of meals for every recipe. If you’re looking to cut back on cash, you can find detailed instructions on how to grow the ingredients yourself, which is obviously longer than buying everything in the Grand Exchange.
