I’ve had success so far when it comes to connecting with community resources. The students have been able to send some emails to local businesses and have had responses for the most part. At the beginning stages of making contact I left it up to students to put together emails or make phone calls in their own time. This didn’t quite work out. I now make sure that we get these things done during the time that I am meeting with them. It takes pressure off the student’s since they don’t have to contact these people as “homework”.
